Why are there large price differences between silver chains?

Silver chains can vary greatly. Please examine carefully the descriptions before purchase.

- "Plated": It means that a base metal is simply coated with a thin silver layer.

- "Diamond-cut": It means only the use of diamond tools for cutting and polishing the chain.

- "Protective lacquer": The very thin coat may be abraded within 2 weeks.

- "Rhodium-plated": An electroplated surface.

- Rhodium is a precious metal (similar to platinum), harder than silver and protects from tarnishing - for years.

A rhodium-plated chain is, of course, the best but also the most expensive product.

And please note another feature - the weight.

A chain of the same length and width may have a lower weight, for example, if it has less chain links or the silver wires are thinner.

The better quality is more massive and heavier.
